TRAVEL

By Plane:

If you are arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam can be reached in approximately 20–25 minutes by public transport. From Schiphol Airport, take a train to Amsterdam Zuid station (one stop). From Amsterdam Zuid, the VU campus and the O2 Building are within a 10–15 minute walk. Alternatively, bus line 198 runs directly from Schiphol Airport and stops in front of the O2 Building.

By Train:

From Amsterdam Central Station, take a train or metro to Amsterdam Zuid. From Amsterdam Zuid station, the VU campus and the O2 Building are within a 10–15 minute walk.

By Car:

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is located in the southern part of the city, close to the A10 ring road. Take exit S108 or S109 and follow the signs to VU Amsterdam. Paid parking facilities are available on campus and in nearby parking garages. We recommend using public transport whenever possible.
